Video Transcript
Welcome to TN knowledge. Today we will be reviewing how to set up a couple of different shortcuts on your desktop for easy access.
Desktop Shortcut - Application:
First off, we're going to go ahead and start with an application such as Microsoft Office and it gets installed on your computer, but unfortunately, it's not on your desktop. You can click on the Button-down here scroll down to the location of it and you can click and hold and then drag it over to your desktop. Once you do that icon is available there.
Desktop Shortcut - File:
So if you find yourself that you need to go into several different folders to be able to access the specific file, you can go in there hold down the ALT key on your keyboard, click and hold on to the file that you're wanting to do and then move it over to your desktop and that will create another link that you can then access the specific file.
Desktop Shortcut - Website:
Finally, if you're wanting to create a website shortcut for a place you visit frequently, you can access your website up at the top and then click on the icon right next to the URL, click and drag and then you can find a shortcut on your desktop as well.
Thanks for watching. We look forward to seeing you next time.
